SAVING 70 DOGS! DOGGIE COUTURE DESIGNER ORGANIZES TEAM OF LOS ANGELES ARTISTS TO HELP SAVE ANIMALS BEING FORCED FROM ANIMAL SANCTUARY.

LOS ANGELES, CA – November 15, 2012 – Lola Teigland of LOLA CANINE COUTURE has assembled a team of photographers to assist the Save A Life No Kill Animal Shelter re-home 70+ dogs. Save A Life owner, Diana Daunert, a retired school teacher, was recently informed that her permits allowing her to operate her cat sanctuary in Mojave, CA are not valid for dogs. In order to remedy the situation, the county has instructed her to rid her property of all dogs and then reapply for a valid permit. If the dogs cannot be re-homed or transported to other animal rescues, they will be seized by the county and most likely euthanized due to the immense over crowding in our shelters.

Lola sprung into action, forming a group, Rescues Rock~Saving 70 Dogs. She assembled photographers Lori Fusaro (Fusaro Photography), Alicia Bailey (a+b photography) and Melinda Lumel (Lumel Photography), Filmmakers Curtis & Rene Anderson and a slew of volunteers to not just dress and photograph the dogs, but to CAMPAIGN FOR them to find new homes.

We joined forces with WINGS OF RESCUE. Petco donated $2,000 worth of crates. We flew 46 dogs to rescues in Canada, Washington and Oregon. Those rescues used our photos to network the dogs. Most had homes before they even arrived, all were eventually re-homed.
